Irish Collegiate Programming Contest (IrlCPC)
2012 Contest
Registration is now open. Register Your Team.
University College Cork’s Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter is hosting the third annual Irish Collegiate Programming Contest (IrlCPC) this year on Saturday the 24th of March 2012.
We would like to invite teams from Irish third level institutions to participate in the 2012 competition. There is no limit to the number of teams from a third level institute.
This year we are opening up the competition to an additional category for postgraduate students and faculty members. These teams will compete in a separate category to the undergrad students but will compete on the same set of problems.
The competition will test the participating teams on their combined knowledge of algorithms, programming and problem solving abilities.
Team members will have one computer between them to solve a set of 8 problems within 4 hours. Difficulty of the problems varies from simple (course work level) to challenging (ACM competition level). There will be no Internet access for the duration of the contest.
